Moto weekends are hands down one of the things I look forward most these days 🏁 They are STRESSFUL & overwhelming (It’s basically an out of body experience for me 😅)… but in the same breath you spend time with friends, the kids run around together in their favorite place, and you get to watch all of them do what they absolutely love. The stress and overwhelm are well worth it for that 🫶🏼 Caleb was absolutely devastated that he didn’t get 1st place in his main race, he just did not understand why he wouldn’t get a 1st place trophy 🏆 since he took first in the heat race. That was tough to explain to a 5 year old, and it was excruciating seeing your babies heart broken (we were definitely crying together 🥺). BUT we talked to him, explained to him that he did amazing. That he did his best and he should be proud of himself for that, and that he got 3rd even after a fall! I’m most impressed and proud that my little 5 year old was out there all on his own(parents aren’t allowed on the track on race days 🫠) fell & got himself and his bike back up without any adult help. Even a month ago he would’ve just laid there waiting for someone to get him 😬. All of the kids in this sport are strong, brave and resilient 🤘🏼and honestly, they’re a lot more brave than I’d ever be.
