I was watching the 2025 NASCAR Hall Of Fame tonight, and listening to Carl Edwards speech made me realize how much I appreciated him as a driver. He could drive and win anywhere, especially at Bristol. The man could truly drive, and he did it with integrity and respect. At the time he was definitely up there with Mark Martin as the nicest most respected drivers in the garage. Yes he had a few run ins with drivers like Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch, but we all have moments like that in life. I look at Carl now and realize that he was a guy that NASCAR needed. He was the John Cena of NASCAR (funny that they're friends), he ran with hustle, loyalty, and respect, and when he would lose he would accept it. I would have loved to seen him win a Championship, but a Championship always doesn't equal greatness, it's how you present yourself as a person, and he was pretty dang good at being a good person.
