It’s the holiday season, which might mean lots and lots of family time—and everyone is excited about the family’s new addition…especially grandparents. 🙌 This is totally understandable, but remember that YOU get to set and hold your own boundaries…that’s YOUR baby!! This may look like: ✨ Ducking out early to avoid overstimulation (and overwhelm for you!) ✨ Not feeling pressured to engage in conversations about your baby’s sleep or developmental progress. Sometimes it’s ok to just talk about the weather 😉 ✨ Saying no. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you don’t want to pass your baby over, stretch a wake window, participate in an event, etc. You deserve to enjoy sharing the excitement of your new baby AND still hold boundaries that feel right to you. ❤️ What boundaries did you set (or wish you had) with grandparents (or any friends/family for that matter)? Let me know in the comments! 👇
