5 Top Black Eats in New Orleans for 1st time 2025 visitors [ Save + Add to your itinerary and Follow for more solo travel inspo here in NOLA] 🍴 Rating each restaurant from least expensive to most expensive using the ‘$’ sign. These are in no particular order because I LOVED THEM ALL! 1. Biscuits & Buns on Banks. This is the best restaurant to start with the best meal of the day — breakfast! I enjoyed the energy of the staff, and owner. They were all very kind and hard at work. The food was delicious — I had the ‘bbb omelette’ with the homemade biscuit, good God almighty 🤤 $ 2. Morrows. This is everything you’ve heard about it — BOMB 💣 Morrows is perfect for a Sunday brunch with live music. I had the punch out cocktail and the cajun crawfish pasta & crispy fried Louisiana catfish. Oh my word! An absolute vibe and a must visit. 100% recommend. $$$ 3. Loretta’s. If you have a sweet tooth, try Loretta’s. If you don’t have a sweet tooth, try Loretta’s. I loved the beignets. Definitely try the location at the French quarter market on Sunday, because the flagship store might be closed. $ 4. Nice Guys NOLA. What a vibe! I loved every second of my time hanging out with my people. If you love to party, this is the best place to enjoy a Sunday day party! Also, this is easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in America. I 100% recommend! $$$$ 5. Neyow’s Creole Café. This is hands down a top-tier Creole restaurant in New Orleans. I’ve had gumbo at other restaurants in NOLA but this was the best! It’s called file’ gumbo 🤤 The Char-Grilled oysters were also delicious! I tried the fried fillet of fish but you can have it grilled with carrot soufflé and macaroni and cheese. The carrot soufflé tasted like a dessert, so sign me up! $$ Save this for your next or 1st visit to New Orleans!
