Replying to @hammy54 A little Manhattan Guinness crawl. People love to be like ‘this place has the best one’ or ‘no, you’ve gotta go here’ but for me, between the top 5 or so there’s not that much in it and it really becomes about the place you’re drinking it in. The hospitality, the atmosphere and a great pint to go along with it, oh a decent enough cocktail list so that Lauren’s happy. We stuck to one part of Manhattan for this one but Swift has always been the to go-to spot for me, one of the few places in New York that gets that pub-feel right. The Parkgate only opened in the summertime but we’ve had a few lovely pints there since, it’s a much more modern vibe, good service and nice spot for go with a group. Grace’s is a newer one to me but is the best rated in Manhattan by @newyorkstateofpint - it’s definitely going to be added more into the rotation, lovely bar, younger crowd than Swift and exceptional pints! Where else? Of course The Dead Rabbit is rightly known for a good pint and most people I speak to say you’ve gotta go to Hartley’s, I’ve yet to make it! If I’m just sticking to the neighborhood, I think Mugs Ale House has an underrated one, though haven’t been in a little while and it’s smaller pours. Then of course Iona, had a final pre-Christmas pint there before we head out of Brooklyn today and is always a very solid pint.
