Dear Children of Immigrants, This is your sign to bet on yourself and go after what you truly want in life. My family immigrated to the U.S. from Bangladesh đ§đŠ when I was less than a year old. Growing up, I was deeply aware of my parentsâ sacrificesâtheir resilienceâall to give me a life filled with opportunities they never had. But it wasnât until I got older that I fully understood the weight of those sacrifices. Like many Bengali kids, I was expected to follow the traditional pathâa career in STEM, which meant stability and security. But my heart was elsewhere. I chose creativity, my love for art, and the path of an entrepreneur. Becoming a licensed esthetician wasnât the âsafeâ choice, but it was the right one for me. As a Bangladeshi Muslim hijab wearing womanâRepresentation in all industries is incredibly important. I donât always give myself enough credit, but @Shanti Skincare NYC is my pride and joy. Itâs more than a businessâitâs a space where I get to help people care for their skin and, more importantly, themselves. And for that, Iâm beyond grateful. Thank you all for your supportâit means everything đ Song - On the Radar Freestyle - Hanumankind
