A lucky group of bird watchers got a first look at The Nature Conservancy’s newest preserve this weekend, just 30 minutes from Tulsa! They helped collect bird data while exploring the Pearl Jackson Crosstimbers Preserve—more than 12,000 acres of protected land in Creek County, donated last year. While the preserve isn’t fully open to the public yet, Preserve Manager Jeanine Lackey hopes to create future opportunities for people to connect with nature. Stay tuned for updates on this incredible new conservation space!
