Ocular melanoma aka Uveal melanoma, also known as intraocular melanoma, is a rare eye cancer that develops from melanin-producing cells in the uvea, the middle layer of tissue surrounding the eyeball. It's the most common type of eye cancer in adults. Symptoms include blurred vision, flashing lights, shadows, or a dark spot on the iris. However, some people may not experience any symptoms. Treatment depends on the tumor's size and location, and the patient's health. And while the rates are 5-6 people per every million annually it can be prevented!
