“Real healing takes time. If someone’s promising ‘quick fixes’ or ‘60-second solutions,’ they’re likely teaching coping strategies—not the real work of recovery. True healing is about patience, persistence, and teaching your nervous system that it’s safe again. Don’t settle for shortcuts when lasting change is possible. ❤️ #anxietyrelief #HealingJourney #OvercomingAnxiety #MentalHealth #anxietyrecovery

Sometimes I really struggle with getting started on a task. Recently, while working on a leatherworking project - a hat that took me 10 days to make… over the course of 4 years - I realized something about how I handle that inertia. When I feel stuck, instead of staying frustrated, I’ve started pausing and asking myself: What’s really keeping me from starting? Is it anxiety? Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe I’m tired or hungry. Once I figure out the sticking point, I can start brainstorming solutions. In the video, I share a simple way I’ve been breaking through that stuck feeling, step by step—even when it feels like progress is impossible. It’s something I’m still working on, but it’s already helping me approach things differently. What do you do to move past the inertia? Let me know—I’m always looking for ideas. #ADHD #ExecutiveDysfunction #ProductivityTips #OvercomingAnxiety #GrowthMindset

Recently, I’ve had a wave on anxiety I haven’t felt in many months. It brought me back to a time when every day was caught in a thick haze of anxiety and fear. But it also reminded me what I did to overcome the fear and find myself again. Here are a few things I was reminded of… 1. If you don’t jump, the universe will push you I get this gut feeling when it’s time to step away from something and take a leap of faith. I often resist the feeling because it means leaving my comfortable state and venturing into the unknown. But this gut feeling has always landed me somewhere far better than I could have planned for myself. Taking the leap of faith is the only way to get there. If you don’t take the jump, the universe will take away your comfortable state from under you, making you jump anyways. Take the jump or you will be pushed. 2. Anxiety is not the problem itself. Anxiety is an alarm bell that something is wrong. This alarm bell is warning you to ask the questions you’re avoiding. To take a deeper look at where you are and what’s off. Think, ‘Oh but I’m happy here.’ Are you actually happy and blossoming? Or are you just comfortable? 3. Get to the door and God will open it for you. So you feel anxious and it’s your gut telling you it’s time to make a change. Maybe you fear change because the outcome is never certain. What I’ve learned from repeated experience is this gut feeling is God telling me it’s time to move. To trust in Him and know He has a much better plan for me. ‘But how, God? I’m not ready.’ Neither is any baby bird when it is thrown from the nest. But it is in the leap that they learn to fly. ‘Trust me. Get yourself to the door and I will open it for you.’ He says to me often. It is not in the falling that we feel anxiety. It is in the moments leading up to it. Do not stay in the comfortable life. A life lacking change, growth, and faith is not a life worth living. Take the leap. Your anxiety will melt away.
