Replying to @suzyquezee Thanks for asking about the pistachios. This gives me an opportunity to tell you about Corlette Baylock. Back in the 80s, I worked in downtown Cleveland. This man is a Cleveland legend right up there with the sax player, Maurice Reedus Jr. and John Adams, the drummer for the (then) Cleveland Indians. Mr. Baylock had a studio/store on East 4th Street. He was (is) a pistachio artist. East 4th Street back in the 80s was a dingy little arcade not in a good part of town. I used to get breakfast in a diner in that same arcade. Mr. Baylock had thousands (it seemed) of art pieces, all of pistachios made into people in various scenes. You wanted a birthday card for your favorite nurse? There was a whimsical card with a pistachio nurse. You had a friend who liked to golf? There was a card for him. I bought these cards because I loved his art. I never got one just for myself, but I wish I did now. He closed up his store long ago, and now E. 4th Street is built up into a trendy nightlife spot. Anyway, every time I eat pistachios, I think of him, and I think that I want to create something with pistachios, so I save them. I never got around to it, though, so thank you for asking about them. It inspired me to finally make a piece of art with pistachios, which I've wanted to do for a long time. Mine is childlike, but I still like it. If you get a chance, look him up and admire his artistry.
