It can be rare for parents to have the opportunity to be there for their child AND recover from the bonds of addiction. At Maddie’s Place they can do both. We offer medical care in a nurturing environment for substance exposed infants while offering wraparound support for their caregivers. Maddie’s Place isn’t like other medical facilities. When our founder first dreamed up this organization, she envisioned a home in which parents could truly rest and be there for their baby. And that’s just what we are: a home🤍 Some parents’ prior residence was the streets. They had nowhere to call home. They had no one they could trust. They had to constantly look over their shoulders. So, you could say their arrival at Maddie’s Place could sometimes be a bit of a shock. Instead of a bench in the park, they have their own bed. Instead of huddling on the sidewalk, they can snuggle up on the couch with their baby. Instead of always second-guessing the motives of their peers, they have caring individuals always checking in on them and offering them help. And it doesn’t end there! Our Family Advocacy Team ensures that parents are set up for success upon discharge, connecting them with countless resources to get them back on their feet. Time slows down at Maddie’s Place. What a privilege it is to watch parents embrace this home and become the best parent they can be to their little one🤍 For more information, you can visit us at www.maddiesplace.org. *All infants filmed in this video have media consent from their biological parent*
