You think you need expensive gear to take photos? Think again. š When I started photography I was using a Nikon D3500 and two kit lenses (the Nikkor 18-55mm and 70-300mm). With that setup, I managed to photograph closeup photos of wildlife that I still love, capture meaningful portraits, and gorgeous landscape images. I also wrote my first book āOut of the Darknessā with this photography setup that was less than $500! Moral of the story: you donāt need expensive gear to get good photographs. If you want to take good pictures, do research on how to take good photos! Learn about the exposure triangle, composition, editing, etc. Also learn EVERYTHING you can about the equipment that you have! That way when youāre shooting an important/fast-paced scenario, youāll know how to use your equipment and what it can handle!
