Tesla Zero Electric Spin Top: The black disk of this amazing and unique top contains a strong dipole magnet which becomes the rotor in this alternator set up. In accordance with Faraday’s law, the rapidly changing magnetic field of the spinning top induces an AC current in the 1000 turn copper coil in the base. The intensity of the light emitted from the 3 LEDs in the base indicates how much current is being generated- and the base is composed of transparent resin that serves as a light pipe to distribute the emitted light via internal reflection.
