“We get to bring home a baby with us.” 🥹 After experiencing full-term stillbirth at 37 weeks pregnant and then being diagnosed with a brain tumor exactly 2 years later at 37 weeks pregnant in the same month, I had to be put under general anesthesia to have an urgent C-section. 😭 I couldn’t do a vaginal birth like we had hoped bc there was risk of having a grand mal seizure which would have put both baby and me at huge risk. I couldn’t get an epidural because the tumor could have pulled my brain down and damaged my spine and could have caused paralysis and even death. 🥺 We keep our genders a surprise, so they put a diaper on baby & Hubby got to meet and hold baby for 45 minutes or skin-to-skin time until I woke up & got wheeled in. 🥹 THIS IS THE MOST SPECIAL MOMENT OF MY LIFE. Getting to hold my rainbow baby after such heartbreaking and unimaginable loss…there are no words. 🤍 If you’ve experienced loss like us, just know there’s hope and redemption waiting for you. God is still good.
