1 finely chopped red bell pepper 1 finely chopped green bell pepper 2 lb ground beef I like to use 90% 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 2 tbs prepared yellow mustard 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup (121 g) tomato paste 4 oz 3-4 Tablespoons light brown sugarfirmly packed 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce ½ cup chicken broth beef broth, or water Burger buns for serving Instructions * Heat a large saucepan over medium heat.
* Add ground beef and cook until browned, crumbling as you cook. Drain off excess grease if needed.
1 lb ground beef * Add onion and peppers and butter and cook until softened.
* Add spices and minced garlic and stir into the beef.
* Add tomato paste, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and worcestershire and stir until well-combined. * Drizzle in broth or water.
½ cup (118 ml) chicken broth * Reduce heat to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 10-15 minutes. * Serve warm on buns.
