👇Try this Mastering Chain 1. Limiter - I’ve been using a default preset limiter as the first plug-in in my master chain lately and I find that if I gain it just enough to clip a couple dB of wild transients (and compensate by lowering the output), I’m able to get a much louder and cleaner master after my last limiter. Before I added this first limiter by final limiter was distorting at around 9 LUFS. 2. Oxford Inflator - it adds perceived volume by adding harmonics (via saturation) and makes the track sound fat and warm. 3. EQ - I like to roll off anything in stereo under 18Hz, and under like 50Hz off the sides. In this track I cut the high off at around 20kHz because I felt like they weren’t necessary. 4. Compression - under 4dB of gain reduction just to glue everything together, add a bit more gain to make up for the lost volume. 5. EQ - I just added a bit of 800Hz to make the track sound warm. 6.
