If you’re new to your doll making journey, put “newbie” in the comments for a DM to my QuickStart Guide. Inserting eyes into a reborn kit made me cry when I first started out! The vinyl was much stiffer and there weren’t many tutorials out to help troubleshoot. I’ve gained a tone of experience in my 14 years of doll making! Thankfully this vinyl is also soft. I put my doll’s eyes in before I’m done painting to help me to visualize the final results as I work. Starting out 2025 with the discontinued classic doll kit “Lulu” sculpted by Jen Printy. I think this may be my last one of this kit (unless I have another buried in my stash). I prefer to work on the newborns but I’ve been itching to try new things and I have a vision for this cutie that I can’t wait to bring to life. This past week I focused on the base skin tone layers.
