Why? 👉 Toning means building lean muscle mass, and lean muscle comes from progressive overload—gradually increasing weight or reps over time. 👉 If you’re only ever lifting 2lbs, you’re not building more lean muscle, which means you’re not getting stronger or more toned. And let’s not forget: seeing muscle tone also requires a low body fat percentage, which comes down to nutrition.
