It’s important to remember that while protecting your skin barrier from the outside is essential, your diet and lifestyle play a major role in how healthy your skin looks and feels. After all, your skin is your largest organ, so taking care of it from the inside out is just as important! Every morning and night, I start by cleansing my face with a gentle cleanser. I alternate between a normal-to-dry or normal-to-oily cleanser depending on the time of year—my combination skin tends to be oilier in the summer and drier in the winter, so I adjust accordingly. After cleansing, I apply a toner, followed by an eye cream followed by hemp oil serum and incorporate gua sha for a lymphatic massage to wake up my facial muscles and promote circulation. Finally, I seal everything with a moisturizer with SPF during the day, and at night, I switch to a nourishing night cream. For the rest of my body, I use a homemade balm that we create at home to keep my skin soft, hydrated, and healthy.
