Maggie and Scarlett are our rescue dogs. They’ve come so far in their confidence and have bonded with our 5 year old twins. Each dog sleeps on one of the twins beds at night. We’ve started training the girls how to walk the dogs, how to hold the leash and such. This was the first time we’ve let them walk “on their own” (around our circle driveway five times). How cute are those four? 🥹 #raisingchildren #girlpower #rescuedogs #farmlife
Giving all the homeschool moms/ moms the credit they deserve. Keep up the good work because there is alot to be done and we are the only ones that can do it.#work#raisingchildren#mom#homeschoolmom#sahm#homeschoolkids#teens#toddler
Retired my co-sleepers last year.. BUT would have mid-night visits and would have to sit in their rooms until they fell asleep.30-40 mins, most nights😴 When I tell you EXHAUSTED. 😩 Jan. 1st my husband and I put our foot down and said NO MORE. We have been consistent with no assistance, no sitting in their room, no coming to our bed at 4AM. We read them a story pre-bed, then send them to bed. Is this how parents watch TV at night?! #momlife #MomsofTikTok #momsover30 #excosleepers #cosleeping #independentsleepers #raisingchildren #motherhood #momoftwo

I REMEMBER AS A KID, IF I DEMANDED ATTENTION IN ANY WAY THAT INCONVENIENCED MY GROWN-UPS, I WAS PUNISHED.    My mother was very impatient with us. One little mishap and BOOM!    Next thing I knew I'd be running to hide from her as she angrily chased us with the wooden spoon (or whatever object was nearest to her).    But, if I'm being honest...it wasn't the punishments that stopped me from demanding her attention.    Even her impatience was tolerable enough for me.    I still wanted to be in relationship with her. I still wanted to feel connected to my family-of-origin.    So, what eventually led me to pull away and distance myself physically and psychologically?    The lack of repair and accountability.    When we overreact by projecting our emotions onto our kids and then delude ourselves into thinking that our behavior doesn't really have an impact, here's what's really going on:    We're trapped in our inner child wounded narrative that needs some exploration and healing.    The idea that parents get a hall pass to cause harm (whether it's unintentional or not) is a traditional parenting concept that needs a serious upgrade.    If we want our kids to take accountability for their actions, we must lead the way.    The most effective (and realistic) way to make that happen is by learning how to repair and committing to balancing ruptures with repairs.    💬If you want to learn how to be CALM in all the chaos and show up in a much more attuned and supportive way, check the 🔗 in my b1o for my free guide: KEEP CALM AND PARENT ON!    #raisingkids #parentingadvice #momstress #consciousparenting #stayathomemama #tiredparents #healinganxiety #parentsofinstagram #momlifeunfiltered #supportmoms #parentingteens #parentcoaching #momtruth #realmotherhood #parentwin #honestlymothering #reparenting #toddlerproblems #reallifemom #parentingstyle #raisingchildren #parenttips #joyfulmama #millennialparenting #raisingstronggirls #breakthecycle #toddlermommy #newmomtips #mommin #momoflittles

Unions and divorcing women have some things in common! You might discount the labor of your wife. After all, keeping the kids alive, nurturing them, and looking out for their well-being is trivial. Keeping the home and the family running while the husband is off at work... that's no big deal. As the guys always tell me, she "sits around all day." Ha! This labor is valuable, whether the patriarchy recognizes it or not. Make them recognize it during your divorce. #unpaidlabor #raisingchildren #sahm #laborunions

Children Were Not Meant to Spend Their Childhoods Away from Their Parents and Siblings. I SAID WHAT I SAID. Therapist-Backed Explanation: Children develop their core sense of safety, identity, and emotional well-being through consistent attachment with their parents and siblings. According to attachment theory, prolonged separation from parents—whether due to excessive schooling, daycare, or structured activities—can disrupt the secure attachment bond, leading to increased anxiety, behavioral issues, and struggles with self-regulation. Dr. Gordon Neufeld, a developmental psychologist, emphasizes that children are meant to be raised by their parents, not institutions, as parents provide the irreplaceable foundation of security and identity that no outside environment can replicate. Siblings also play a critical role in a child’s development. Studies show that frequent separation from siblings diminishes natural social bonding, reduces conflict-resolution skills, and weakens lifelong sibling relationships. Instead of forming strong, enduring family ties, children become more peer-dependent, which can lead to insecurity, social comparison, and loss of family values over time. Biblical Perspective: The Bible repeatedly emphasizes parental responsibility in raising children and the importance of family unity. •	Deuteronomy 6:6-7 – “These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” → This verse makes it clear that God intended for parents—not the world—to be the primary teachers and guides for their children. •	Psalm 127:3-5 – “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” → Children are meant to be raised in loving, present families, where they are nurtured, shaped, and equipped for life under their parents’ guidance. •	Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” → This command assumes that parents are present and engaged—because how can a child be properly trained in the right path if they spend the majority of their formative years under someone else’s influence? Final Thoughts for the Post: Modern culture normalizes extended separations, long school days, and excessive childcare, but that was never God’s design or the natural human order. A child’s first teachers, protectors, and emotional anchors are their parents. Their first friendships, lessons in love, and lifelong bonds come from their siblings. A society that pulls children away from their families is a society that breeds disconnection, brokenness, and generational insecurity. God’s design was always FAMILY FIRST. #BiblicalParenting #AttachmentParenting #RaisingChildren #FaithFamily #ChristianMotherhood #FamilyFirst
