rajma paneer - the nepali wayπŸ‡³πŸ‡΅ you know the one with fried panner. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ~recipe~ Soak your dried red beans overnight in water. Pressure cook it with salt for 1 whistle. Set aside. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add your diced paneer and cook for 3-4 minutes tossing occasionally. The idea here is to toast the paneer to enhance the flavor lightly. Set aside. Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pot on medium-high heat. Start by adding cumin seeds and bay leaf. Add onion and sautΓ© it till it becomes translucent. Add your ginger and garlic, and stir until it’s fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt. Cook for another minute or two. Add tomatoes, and cook till wilted. (You can also blend this mixture here for smoother consistency, this is optional - do as you please). Add your kidney beans and water to the pot. Reduce your heat to medium. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add paneer and green chilies if using. Cover and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Serve with rice or roti. Eat with your hands. #food #fyp #nepal #nepali #rajma #paneer #curry #beans #soup
