My goal is a sub 9-minute mile time trial, so I have a ways to go. That being said, I’m so proud of myself! My previous time trial was this past summer. I completed that in 9:55. A three second difference isn’t huge, but there are some differences between the two times: - my prior time trial was on a lovely Woodway treadmill. Running on a treadmill and running outdoors are quite different, so I’m happy at being able to beat my time while 100% responsible for my pace. - my prior time trial took place on fresh legs, as the first part of my workout (after a warmup). Meanwhile, I did this time trial after running almost 4 miles in a Fartlek workout and while in week 6 of marathon training. Not to mention, due to my schedule this week, this was my fourth day of running in a row. AKA my legs are far from fresh for this time trial! A PR is a PR, and all things considered, I’m dang proud of this one. My sub 9 goal feels far right now, but I’m choosing to believe in myself! And with that, week 6 of my @Runna plan is officially done ✅
