When I started going to church, I was going to save my marriage and save my family. I went bc I knew God was the only hope I had left. There was nothing left in me to keep going but God. It was in a tike of complete darkness and desperation that I thought God help my husband and I but mostly get him he needs the work he needs the change not me change him and get him in check. Little did I know that I was the one to get saved and encounter Jesus. I would wonder and ask and cry out to God why?! Why did you not change him? I was not at fault he needed to be changed. And as my faith grew and my relationship grew and I started to know Jesus and know his character, a change in me started to occur. A change that God revealed to me that must be done first. Patience, love, prayer, and trust in Him and by the power and fruits of the Spirit displayed in my actions will my husband's time come. So I waited and prayed every single day for over 2 and a half years! Trusting God that my husband is already saved and let His timing His will be done! The road was not easy! It was lonely, frustrating, but sitting back seeing the change in him made the wait such a blessed experience! Seeing God move in my husband was incredible! There were times he'd take 3 steps forward, then go back 5 steps there were times were I thought God its not going to work! But what God has joined together let no one separate! I just knew God's been orchestrating a victory song behind every sorrowful cry and wail! Through ever dark cave there Jesus was, the beam of radiant glory at the end of a gloomy and dark tunnel that guided us straight to his loving arms! On this day he didn't get saved at the church but at the passenger side of the pastors car on a Tuesday night. No music no piano no people just him humbled and submitted desperate for the Lord. Saying the sinners prayer and giving it all to God! Every cry every plea every night and day praying for his salvation did not go unheard! God heard me and made it so! Never stop praying for that loved one! Pray it daily! Pray until something happens!!!! And it will! Something will happen! Thank you, Jesus i love you more than life more than anything! Can't no one tell me my God isn't real and doesn't move mountains! No one is too far gone for Jesus to change and mend all the shattered pieces! God has turned our mess into something beautiful. My ex husband is also my daughters dad (not in this video, she was in the church’s childcare) and we all live together under one roof so we can raise our daughter with both her parents equally as present in her life. It took quite the work of God to get us to this point, lots of healing, lots of growth, and lots of forgiveness. For those of you who know it is time to put it down, I want to encourage you with this. “Do you want to be healed?” That question was asked to me on February 2, 2024, and it changed my life. I knew God had been calling me to lay it down, and when that question was asked, I thought about the man at the pool of Bethesda. He gave all of the reasons why he could not be healed. If you’ve been looking for a sign to either get to know Jesus, or go back to Him more deeply, take this as your sign. Its better to stand alone boldy and independently with God, than to settle for guys, friends, jobs, or whatever wordly idol you’ve temporarily placed before Him. And if not worldy, maybe its time to set aside, pride, shame, or guilt. All of it is so worth leaving behind, if its not for you, and compromising your faith. Its time to take action on what is right, and not what “feels” right.
