First look at the brand-new Harman Red! I’ve been sitting on these results for a couple of weeks now, and I can finally share them! Redscale film is typically made by loading the film inside out during the manufacturing process, exposing the emulsion from the opposite side—resulting in that vibrant color-shifted look. Harman Photo is releasing this new addition to their 35mm film family today on Valentine’s Day. I think the Phoenix emulsion works well in redscale. What do you think? RED 125 is actually Phoenix 200 in reverse. It’s a redscale film, which means it’s exposed through the base side of the emulsion. This results in a dramatically different look, with deep, fiery reds and a warm, atmospheric feel. From our test roll, RED 125 delivers a much bolder redshift than most other redscale films, making it a great option for those looking to experiment with intense color effects.
