When I moved to the US in 2007, I fell in love with football because it brought a unique feeling and became my source of comfort and connection. Years later living in the DMV, my dad won tickets to a Redskins game through his job. It was my first time experiencing a live football game. My dad didn’t know much about the sport at the time, but that day, surrounded by the sea of fans in burgundy and gold, chanting “HAIL TO THE REDSKINSSS”, we felt like we belonged. Through the years, as many Washington fans, we have stuck with this team no matter what. Yes even the Mark Sanchez era. All those years, we held onto the hope that one day, one year, we’d have a dynasty. One I can tell my kids or better yet, take my kids to go watch/experience. @Washington Commanders have finally brought tears to their fan base (in a GREAT way). No matter happens in the playoffs, I’m excited for what JD5 (Lisan al Gaib) and scary Terry are able to do in years to come. To all the fans, this is more than just a playoff run—it’s a full-circle moment, a reminder that loyalty and hope are always worth it. Here’s to the Commanders 🍻 To the fans who never gave up, and to all the memories still waiting to be made. @NFL @NFLonFOX
