Throughout the years I’ve been active on social media.. I’ve been asked for rendering tutorials. I’ve finally made one! This is sort of the general run down of what I do. Obviously, I go back to add more things if I think it’s needed. I think the main takeaway here is my art style since it leans more towards realism.. but you can still achieve this! Here are some things I couldn’t add in the video… 1. My process is always changing, the way I do things may not work for you. This tutorial is a look into how I work 2. It’s OKAY for it to look messy. It always takes me a while and a few re-attempts to get to the final look. You’re basically painting over everything anyways, it’s like sculpting! 3. I’d also like to clarify the example with the color wheel I included IS MEANT TO BE AM EXAMPLE OF COLORS I CHOOSE FOR THE WHITES OF THE EYES. pls don’t make your characters looking ashy…. 4. After I put down my base colors, I merge them into one layer and duplicate it. Then, I add a new one for rendering. This way, if I mess up or don’t like how I started rendering, I have that extra I can use to restart! 5. When I add in my shadows I shift the hue of my colors SLIGHTLY to avoid having a muddy palette. I experiment between cool, muted tones and warmer saturated ones 6. there is this rake brush pack I also use a lot to add texture in my art! Honestly go crazy with that it’s fun to play with Whatever else you guys are curious about and want to see me make a tutorial on I can do that!
