Money isn’t gonna make you happy. A good New Year’s resolution would be to think hard about what you *think* money would actually solve in your life. I think you’ll realize money isn’t the answer. Nothing external changes how you feel internally Say you make it. You sell your company and get $100M wired to your bank account. What do you think truly will change in your life? Sure, you’d go have a big celebration in Cabo with your friends and family. But then what? A month or two later you’ll be back to your same life. Your friends will be back to theirs too. And it will be a Tuesday morning and you’ll be having coffee with yourself. You’re still the same person, with the same mind, same insecurities, etc. So what will money have truly changed? Yay you can buy materialistic things…you’re just gonna get bored of them in a few months anyways Relationships? Oh ya…yay…now that people recognize you as successful you have new options. But…are you happy if they’re only now giving you the time of day bc you have money? Thats not gonna feel good… Now what are you even going to do with your time/life? Money is obviously important and having enough affords you a good life and the absence of a lot of problems. BUT, you have to make sure you’re running after the right things for the right reasons.
