Craving delicious Japanese food? Head to Temari Cafe for some nom eats 😍 They’re a cozy, Japanese-owned spot that’s first-come, first served. Here’s everything @Deke_DC and I got to share: ▪️Age Tofu ($7.95): a GREAT starter! The outer layer was delicately crispy, and the slightly crunchy exterior contrasted nicely with the soft texture inside. The umami broth was beautiful as well. Highly recommend! ▪️Tonkatsu/Sashimi Combo ($29.95, lunch price, dinner’s $32.95): ok SO, firstly I’m super impressed with how much food came with. It was a TON of food, and Deke and I shared this easily between the two of us, esp since we were already snacking earlier during the day. They gave us tonkatsu (came with potato salad + shredded cabbage), a BIG sashimi set (3 kinds of fish), miso soup, rice, and 3 apps (chef’s choice). LOVED the tonkatsu (fried to crispy perfection), the apps were all VERY tasty, and the miso soup was comforting. We weren’t a huge fan of the fish, but the portion was generous, and I’d still highly recommend the set because that’s just our personal preference. I know TONS of people that love their sushi/sashimi. ▪️Daifuku Mochi ($6.50): A perfect end to our meal! Ripe strawberries covered with mochi and red bean - such a lovely combination *chef’s kiss* Additional Notes 📝 ▪️It’s first come, first served, and they can get pretty busy during peak hours ▪️I saw a sign that said they can’t accommodate strollers due to space (it’s pretty tight inside). Just giving you guys a heads up beforehand! ▪️This restaurant is “owned by なかつか えいいち Nakatsuka Eiichi, who has more than 60 years of experience in Japanese cuisine.” Pulled from their IG 🙂 ▪️their hot green tea was complimentary Have you guys been to this spot yet?
