FOLLOW for more #Scotland travel tips! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Whether you’re an “Outlander” fan or not, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 all of these places are still beautiful, historic, and worth visiting… there’s just that extra connection when you can envision the scenes they’re used for in the show! 🎥 Places in the video: 📍Bakehouse Close in Edinburgh- this is the print shop from the long awaited reunion episode! 📍Blackness Castle- Used as the exterior and interior for “Ft. William”. You can pay to go inside, and you’ll recognize the courtyard from the flogging scenes 😕 📍Midhope Castle- Part of the estate owned by Hopetoun House, you need advance reservations to access it! This was only used for the exterior shots of Lallybroch (as the inside is in severe disrepair). 📍 Culross -A scenic medieval town in Fife and home to real historical 17th century witch trials, this is used as the town of Cranesmuir. You will recognize the “pillory” and Geilis Duncan’s house! 📍Falkland Town: This small town was used as “Inverness” during Claire and Franks honeymoon in season 1. You’ll recognize the statue where the “Highlander ghost” 👻 appears, and the building used as the B&B they stayed in. 📍Craig Na Dunh- You can technically visit the hill used for these scenes, but sadly the stone circle was fake. As an alternative, there are plenty of actual ancient stone circles all over the island, so you can get your fill of pretending to time travel! 😉 The stones in my video are 📌 Ring of Brodgar and 📌 Stenness (both in Orkney) There are loads more filming sites, but these are a few we were able to see with limited time! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 #outlander #outlander_starz #scotlandtravel
