San Diego’s Hokkaido Style Ramen Joint 🍜🔥 📍Baikohken Ramen | 690 University Ave Started in 1969 in Hokkaido Japan, this Michelin guide recommend stop gained international attention for their well done traditional style using premium ingredients. Now their first mainland location has opened up right here in San Diego. We stopped by to meet Yuki Sato a Hokkaido native who showed us how much care and attention to detail they put into every bowl and we have say we were impressed. ✨ From their intensely simmered broth, marinated chasu, and premium imported noodles they do as much as they can to keep their unique style as close as they can to the real deal. 🍜 Some of our favorites ⬇️ Classic Shoyu Ramen Spicy Miso Ramen Takoyaki Croquette Want to try out Baikohken Ramen You can head to 690 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103 to give this a try! #sandiego #sdfoodies

Inside San Diego’s Made To Order Award Winning Donut Shop! 🍩☕️ 📍@coppertopcoffee | 4636 Mission Blvd, San Diego Making donuts to order is not easy, “frankly it’s a “pain in the a**” says Josh Mcorkle, Owner of Copper Top Coffee, but it’s worth it he insists. There is nothing like a fresh hot donut, a bite of which can instantly transform you into a kid again. Thats the goal, delivering nostalgia with scratch made, homestyle flavors as well as some more creative chef-y flavors that are anything but boring. ✨ You may have visited Copper Top Coffee at their former drive thru location in Hillcrest and since 2017 they were easily one of the most popular spots in town for a donut, now they have shifted their operation into Pacific Beach and they are hoping to become the new hot spot along Mission Blvd. 🌊 We stopped by to learn how they make their award winning donuts, and were incredibly impressed with the care they put into each donut. They come fresh off the fryer and are decorated as they are ordered, they are so hot that they have to be forcibly fanned to even be served. With toppings like their House-made Espresso Caramel, House Maple & Dusted with Espresso “Copper Top Donut” to the “Campfire” with House-made Marshmallow, Chocolate, and crumbled Graham Crackers, these gourmet topped donuts are worth a visit for. 😋 Pair that with well made coffee drinks made by talented baristas using their house selected coffee beans from their partner roasters in Seattle and you have a delicious breakfast perfect for a walk on the boardwalk or beach! 🏖️ Some of our recommendations ⬇️ Copper Top Donut Campfire Donut Everything Nice Donut School Lunch Donut Lavender Honey Latte Salted Carmel Latte Want to visit Copper Top Coffee? Inside The Dish: Chicken Mole Tamales 🇲🇽🌶️ 📍@Todo Pa’ La Cruda | 2196 Logan Ave, San Diego Tamales are always in season at Todo Pa La Cruda. We stepped into the kitchen with owner Elizabeth Ruiz as she showed us how her family has been making tamales for years and how she has taken that same love and care into each tamale they sell. They use banana leaves instead of the corn husks you usually see and they add a unique flavor that along with a rich and dense mole and slowly cooked chicken makes for one really good tamale. 🫔 Want to try Todo Pa La Cruda? We highly recommend heading over to 2196 Logan Ave, San Diego to give this spot a try! #sandiego #sdfoodies
