[in case we don’t see each other here again - find me on 👁️ gee with the same handle!] My favorite tradition of the year happened a bit late this time - blame an exceptionally good German manicure - but we still made it happen. Each year, my first manicure of the year is the Pantone Color of the Year - which in 2025 is Mocha Mousse. It may seem “boring” at first glance, but I’m actually loving how clean and fresh it feels. It’s the perfect way to kick off a year of new beginnings for me. I made the leap into self employment as a step towards aligning my career more closely with who I am. Between us, I’m still figuring out some of that, but I do know that I am *not* someone who feels good sitting in one box (as we say on the pod, I like to live in the gray 🥰). And so, I’d like to spend this year doing things that not only fill my cup and thus feel aligned in that way, but that also take steps towards making this new life sustainable for me. I’m candidly not the best at buckling down on those things (cut to me avoiding sending out new business pitches while I write this caption). But I know that they’re aligned with where I want to be, which is long-term self-employed. So for me, alignment encompasses that too! Past years’ words have included scalable, intentional, healing, joyful…and they all made sense at the time but I’m most excited about where this year’s word takes me. Do you do words of the year? What’s yours for 2025?
