#CapCut 2024...It wasn't the best year, but it also wasn't the worst year either. I lost some really amazing people, tried some new things, finally saw the Chicago river dyed green in person, met some amazing new friends and mediums on Tik Tok, started modding for my cousin's medium panel every Tuesday night, saw a total eclipse, had my 1st colonoscopy, got my cat Molly through another major surgery, spent quality time with friends both online and in real life, spent quality time with my brother, cousin and four cats, saw some ghosts on an Indiana ghost tour, went to a few horror conventions and a lot of movies and even appeared in 2 horror movies myself. I did all of that under a ginormous cloud of depression and grief. I already had depression stemming from my mom's passing, my uncle's declining health and my dad's terminal cancer diagnosis. But it's also been a little over a year since I found out that Marvin, my soulmate, passed away. I have cried more in this year than I think I ever have in my whole entire life. I found out so much about him that I never even knew when we were together. The biggest thing being that he loves me and that we are true soulmates. Unfortunately, I never truly knew that while he was here on earth. But I know it now, and despite finding out too late, it has been the biggest blessing in my entire life. Someone loves me. I mean truly loves me. I found true unconditional love. Me. The girl whose whole idea of romance and love was beaten out of her by the age of 14. Love was d e a d to me. But then I met Marvin. He brought my heart back to life and completely had me before I ever even knew it. Now he has my heart forever. I thank God every day that I met him and that he chose me to love. He could have had anyone, but he chose me. Finding all this out just in the past year has uplifted me in ways that I can't even describe. I am still in deep grief so I don't even know yet what impact it really has had and is having on my life. I just know that it has made my entire past with him make sense and it has lit a spark in me that doesn't just see the rest of my life as some slow march towards death. I have hope again. And I had lost all of that after my mom passed away a few years ago. It's amazing what being loved can do to and for you. To every fiber of your being. I have seen so many signs this year from both my mom and Marvin. I started actually feeling Marvin's arms around me. I imagine that they are always around me. I cannot wait to see him again. It seems like a long wait, but life passes by in a blink. We'll be together again before I know it. And I never have to let go of him this time. Thank you, God. Thank you so much. Goodbye 2024.
