Why do I use permanent color on pre-lightened hair instead of demi-permanent? The answer is Simple….longevity. 🔥 Hair color only lifts 4 levels max, so if I need more lift, I pre-lighten first before applying the final shade. Could I use demi to tone? Yes. But my client wanted low-maintenance, long-lasting color especially since reds fade FAST. Demi gives 4-6 weeks of wear, while permanent holds for 6-8 weeks.
