Who wants to live in a silo home or add one as a guest suite!?!? If you’re thinking about it, then you will want to spend a few days over @geneacres in Chickamauga, Georgia. It is one of the prettiest Air B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in!! Last year, Oliver and I toured visiting several Barndominiums in Georgia. We have been following Stephanie and Gene for a long time and decided to check it out and grab a little R&R during our tour. Charming! Picturesque! Relaxing! Sooooo, pretty and it gave me lots of inspiration for future silo designs. It’s the perfect size. 850 ft.² of living, king bed loft, one and a half baths, queen Murphy bed, fabulous kitchen, washer and dryer and a fireplace. The soaring ceilings, make the silo feel so much larger!! There’s also a fabulous fire pit, comfy porch swing and a mini silo with a hot tub for a perfect sunset view. What’s not to love!? We will definitely be going back for another stay. So relaxing and another beautiful build by Vance Jones. And….now…I’m thinking I want to add a silo to our Barndo compound. Oh…Oliver….I’ve got a new project for us🤣! In the meantime, if you’re considering adding a silo, consider spending a weekend in this gorgeous Georgia Air B&B silo. You’re going to walk away with all kinds of ideas for your own project. Today, we’re taking a look at the very popular Barrett Design with a silo, carport and storage room that we converted into a man cave for “Lucky Louis” 🤣. The Details: 3 Bedrooms 2 1/2 Bathrooms Silo Mud Entry w/Upstairs Art Studio HUGE Great Room w/26’ Vaulted Wood Ceilings Just Under 2700 ft.² of Living Glass Garage Door Outdoor Kitchen & Fireplace Oversized 2 Car Carport Man Cave And tons of covered porch space surrounded by 8 acres of trees…..everywhere.
