Your cleanser may be making your oily skin worse… So today, let’s talk about a tips & few cleansers that may help! Welcome to episode 1 of The Skincare Blueprint where we’ll be going over products, tips & recommendations for each skin type! Over-cleansing → stripped skin. Stripped skin → more oil may appear. It’s a cycle that I had to learn early on in my skincare journey. When I used a cleanser that was overly stripping, I had very dry cheeks but a waxy, oily t-zone area that I couldn’t figure out how to lessen. Using a gentle, balancing cleanser really made the difference as it helped to clean the skin without triggering excess oil. So, here’s the blueprint for oily skin cleansers: attempt to find a cleanser with a gentle, foaming texture that gives you a solid clean without overly stripping your skin. Hydrating ingredients like ceramides and glycerin and oil-balancing ingredients like niacinamide may be on your radar. The ultimate goal is balance. Here are a few cleansers mentioned: • @Prequelskin Gleanser • @Dieux Skin Baptism Cleanser • @LaRochePosayUS Purifying Foaming Cleanser • @dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel So, quick question, how does your skin really feel after cleansing? 👀
