Sloths are slow-moving, tree-dwelling mammals native to Central and South America. They are known for their relaxed pace and spend most of their time hanging upside down in trees, eating leaves, and sleeping up to 15 hours a day. There are six species of sloths, divided into two groups: two-toed and three-toed sloths. While sloths are not extinct, some species, like the pygmy three-toed sloth, are critically endangered due to habitat destruction and deforestation. Their slow nature and specialised habitat make them vulnerable, highlighting the importance of conservation efforts to protect these unique creatures. Video
