Skip Bayless Says The NFL Sent Apology Letter To Lil Wayne For Halftime Show! _________________________ The NFL are said to have sent an "apology letter" to rap legend Lil Wayne, who was passed over to perform the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. That's according to former ESPN and FOX Sports personality Skip Bayless, who announced his decision on X not to watch Sunday's mid-game performance, which was headlined by 22-time Grammy-award winner Kendrick Lamar. And he claimed the NFL issued an apology to him back in September after offering it to Lamar. The NFL immediately sent Wayne a letter of apology," Bayless said on his YouTube show. "From nobody in particular, just from the league on NFL letterhead. "A letter that thanked him for his years of supporting the league, not just the Packers, his favorite team, but supporting and promoting the NFL, in general, which he has. "I mean, he makes weekly appearances on the NFL's Sunday pregame show, 'NFL GameDay Morning' on the NFL Network. "But he will not play Sunday's halftime show, and he definitely won't watch a second of Sunday's halftime show. "He will watch the game, just not the halftime show. Not one second." Bayless - a friend of Lil Wayne - also revealed the devastating effect the snub had on the legendary rapper. "When the news first broke, it hit Wayne hard,' the 73-year-old analyst said. "He didn't feel like doing much of anything for several long days and nights. He's better now."
