Traveling in Recovery? Here's Your Safety Plan For many of my clients, solo travel and returning home are some of the biggest relapse triggers. ✈️ Does this sound familiar? You land, grab your bags, and before you know it, you’re in an Uber heading straight to a chemsex party. There’s something about coming home that makes the urge to use meth feel overwhelming. That’s why I use a Travel Safety Plan with my clients to help them stay on track. 🔥 Here’s what we do: ✔ Visualization practice – See yourself laying the phone down and saying "no." ✔ Adopt a mantra – Keep it on your phone, mirror, or anywhere visible. ✔ Planned check-ins – Schedule accountability with me and a support group. ✔ Identify danger zones – Review your schedule to avoid high-risk situations. ✔ Smooth transition home – A structured plan helps you re-enter safely. This strategy has helped so many men maintain abstinence during and after travel. If you’re ready for personalized support, DM “Coaching” to apply for my 1:1 Recovery Coaching program.
