Here’s what you should know: 1. Having a good product that people want to buy is one thing. But you could have the best product in the world, and not know how to sell it. 2. Be kind and approachable: don’t sit down the entire time with your arms crossed or on your phone. (I see this all of the time) not only do you look unapproachable, being glued to your phone also can be unprofessional. I see many vendors sitting, not saying a word to a customer. And as a consumer, it’s a big turn off for me personally. 3. Say hi to every customer walking by: Sometimes at farmers markets, many customers can feel forced to come look at your booth, and you don’t want this. Saying “good morning/good evening” can also be more approachable vs “hi how are you?” (Because do you really care how they’re doing? Or do you just want them to be seen) — maybe even offer free samples as an invitation to try your product! 4. Learn how to read people: you can easily tell if people are just browsing, looking out of kindness, or are genuinly wanting to buy from you. Learn to read the room so you can best serve your customer! 5. Set yourself apart and be the best in what you do! Copying others isn’t a good look, and can be noticeable to other vendors and even customers. You don’t wanna be like anyone else, you want to be authentic to you! Take pride in what you do, by putting effort into your booth and brand! #microbakerygirl #microbakery #sourdoughbakery
Days off while running a #microbakery is so hard. You wear so many hats in business, and works long hours. But my goal for 2025 was to schedule more time to relax and serve my body well! #microbakerygirl #cottagebakery #sourdoughbakery
