I don’t know who needs to hear this, but this calling requires thick skin. This is not for the faint of heart! When God called us to pick up our cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24), He didn’t promise an easy road. He warned us it comes with persecution, mockery, and rejection. But the assignment requires boldness and obedience, even when it’s uncomfortable. Let’s talk about John the Baptist. He didn’t shy away from exposing sin—he called out King Herod for taking his brother Philip’s wife, Herodias, which was a violation of God’s law (Leviticus 18:16, 20:21). Herodias hated John for this and wanted him dead, but she waited for the right moment to strike. That moment came when her daughter’s dance pleased the king, and he foolishly promised her anything she wanted. At her mother’s prompting, she asked for John’s head on a platter (Matthew 14:3-12). 💔 John was killed for standing for truth. He wasn’t afraid to confront what was wrong, even though it cost him everything. This is the kind of boldness required in this walk—where righteousness comes before comfort, and obedience comes before self-preservation. Many want the anointing, but few want the persecution that comes with it. You will be hated for standing for truth (John 15:18-19). You will be misunderstood and talked about. But God didn’t call us to be liked—He called us to be faithful. 📖 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10) ➡️ Be bold like John. Speak truth, no matter the cost, and trust that God sees your obedience.
