specialedteacher hashtag performance

#specialedteacher celebrates the dedication and creativity of educators in special education. It showcases innovative teaching methods, inspiring stories, classroom activities, and the impact of fostering inclusivity and understanding for all students.
Ah, the glamorous life of a special ed teacher! Here are some tips I’ve found helpful when I feel like this: 1. Set Small, Manageable Goals When the workload feels overwhelming, try breaking down tasks into smaller, achievable goals. Focus on one thing at a time, like organizing one set of visuals or prepping a single lesson plan. Small wins add up! 2. Build a “Visuals Bank” Create a collection of commonly used visuals that you can quickly pull from rather than making them on the fly. Think core vocabulary, common requests, and behavior prompts. Having these ready to go will save time in the long run. 3. Embrace Routine Structure is a lifesaver in a self-contained classroom. Build a routine that you and your students can rely on, and incorporate visuals to reinforce it. Routines can help reduce decision fatigue and keep everyone on track, including you! 4. Lean Into Technology If you have access, digital tools can be a game-changer! Apps that allow you to create, store, and display visuals or AAC options can cut down on paper clutter and help with quick customization for different students. If you’re feeling the same, I’ve got some podcast episodes that’ll keep you company and help you tackle that visual overload. 🎙️ Check out the latest on Be the Exception in Special Education for tips on managing resources, creating visuals that work, and finding your flow in a self-contained classroom. Sometimes, a good listen is the best support! 🎧💪 #SpecialEdTeacher #SelfContainedClassroom #SpecialEdSupport #TeacherLife #VisualsGalore #CoffeeAndCharts

I didn’t learn anything about how to utilize centers in my self-contained classroom. I didn’t think it would work with my students, and to be honest, when I first tried centers it was messy. 😵‍💫 If you haven’t heard, I’m creating a brand new course for self-contained teachers all about centers. It will be launching soon and the waitlist is now open! 🥳 Comment SIMPLECENTERS as one word to join the waitlist! 🫶🏼 #specialeducation #specialed #specialeducationteacher #specialedteacher #teacherlife #selfcontained #centers #classroomcenters #professionaldevelopment #teacherpd
