After several delays, she is scheduled to begin her journey to the south this coming Saturday, where she will be prepared to be sunk and become the worlds largest artificial reef. She was built in Newport News, Virginia, and was designed to be a luxury cruise liner that was also able to be converted into a troopship, if the need was ever necessary. She made her maiden voyage in 1952 from the New York Harbor, was in service for 17 years, and is the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic!
