This snuck up on me as I emerged from the @Hadestown #underworld. I fly to Montreal tomorrow to be this year’s #keynotespeaker @Folk Alliance International on Thursday. I’ve grown up as an artist & a woman & a mother at FAI - I met my partner in all things, #jtnero there 24 years ago, I formed life long friendships and chosen families there. Our daughter attended her first one when she was 6 weeks old! It is deeply moving & meaningful to me that I get to participate this year in my hometown of #montreal and I’m so grateful that I get to be in conversation with @annpowers33 for this year’s #keynote Ann was an early supporter of #outsidechild & my solo career as well as being one of my favourite music journalists and authors on the planet.
