This stuff actually bugs the crap out of me. 1. You’re gonna get MY dogs in trouble because your ego is WAY up your ass. 2. You’re going to get your dog hurt. The amount of times I’ve had someone say to me “my dog could totally take yours” or talk about dog fighting is INSANE. One person brought up the “my dog could take yours” when kida was just 2.5 months old. No shit Sherlock? She’s a puppy?? And why does it matter? And pitbull owners are the WORST about it. “WhEn A pItTiE sTaRtS iT dOeSnT sToP” Well, kiss your dog goodbye then. Tf? One of MY dogs had to fight off a pittie. And he did the EXACT same thing the dog in the video did. Took seconds. All because some irresponsible idiot let their dog out. Everyone was fine. My dog just pinned it. But, ironically, the dog that took that pittie on, was actually the SMALLEST of my LGDs. Of any I’ve ever had. So, those of us WITH the big dogs, look at the rest of you and we’re disgusted. I would NEVER go up to someone and say “my dog could eat yours.” Like? Excuse me? How sick are you? Psychopaths. All of you. I don’t care how big my anatolians (kangals) are, I’m not gonna go around threatening people. Even if my dog would win. But if my dog would LOSE? I’m DEFINITELY not doing that. Because not only is that WEIRD, you’re putting your dogs life in danger. Pittie owners do it with EVERYTHING. German shepherds, Dobermans, etc etc. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE pitties. But they aren’t as efficient and a lot of other dogs. Pull your head out and keep your fur babies safe. They don’t deserve it and you’re giving the breed a bad reputation. Stop. So, just a PSA, if your ego gets in the way of you accepting literal statistics and you’re willing to put your dog in harms way to prove a point…? Don’t get a dog. Know your dogs breed. Know other dogs breed. And know and ACCEPT your dogs limits. For example, my smaller kangal? Yes. He can be a monster. But, he’s a kangal/great pyr mix and is on the smaller spectrum. So, when Kida is fully grown, he’d have no chance. So, as she gets older I pay close attention to their dynamic to make sure timber isn’t going to get mauled. Common sense. Although timber is my first and heart dog, I’m AWARE of his limits. I’m aware of my puppies genetics and have a solid idea of her future stature. Because I’m responsible.
