I love using edible marker to make my creations come to life. With a few dots there and couple lines here- you can add dimension and details to set super fast! Edible marker is just a marker filled with edible food coloring so it’s safe to eat (same coloring that makes our icing colorful too)! You can find felt tip, fine tip, wide tip and normal tipped markers out there to fit any design style you want. Tip: if your tip dries out, add some food- grade alcohol with a cotton swab or small brush tip and apply it to your marker. I’ve owned the Bosch for 5 years now and the Artiste for a little over 1 year and I’m always asked- which one is better. It comes down to what you wanna do with em, really. I find that both can mix up cookie dough like champs but bread and tougher doughs, I’d lean to the Bosch Universal with its stainless steal bowl. I have the scraper attachment for my Universal Plus and I’d buy that again and again and again. That little piece of plastic really helps incorporate my ingredients. The Artiste’s price tag though- makes it look real good but the motor isn’t as strong as the Universal. It’s a contender for cookie dough, in my humble opinion! Notice how both are using the doughhooks- it’s widely suggested to skip out on using the cookie paddles because they are known to break. I get it, cookie dough should use the paddles but don’t- just go with the dough hooks and you’ll have no issues! Also yes, I make royal icing in them too! Using the dough hooks, you’ll wanna mix your water and meringue powder in a bowl with a whisk and then add it to your mixer with your powdered sugar. Great for class days or huge DIY kit days!
