Aaron Tveit said the song Move On from the Stephen Sondheim musical Sunday in the Park with George is his favorite musical theatre song before he sang it at his Palm Desert concert earlier this month. This was his encore song and it was so wonderful to watch him perform it. I wasn’t familiar with this musical so after reading about it and watching this video, now I can understand why it’s his favorite. The message I gained from the song is to stop worrying about whether your choices are right or wrong and just move on. The musical opened in 1984 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and two Tony Awards. It was inspired by the famous Georges Seurat painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte painted between 1884-1886. I was always fascinated with the painting having studied French Impressionism in school. So, here is another tie to France from Aaron Tveit. #aarontveit #stephensondheim #sundayintheparkwithgeorge #moveon Credit: Instagram amymlau. @Aaron Tveit
