Fish Done Right: Besa Gordon's Visit to Emerald City Fish N' Chips Fish N Chips anyone? So check this out, I finally pulled up to Emerald City Fish N' Chips, a Black-owned spot in South Seattle, not too far from Franklin High School! Now, I don't know about you, but I’ve driven by this spot so many times since it opened in 2009, but this was my FIRST visit—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! 👏🏾 I ordered a 3-piece halibut and a 5-piece catfish n' chips, and when I say it was hot, juicy, perfectly breaded, AND seasoned to perfection—I tell no lies! 🙌🏾 It came with chips, tartar sauce, and coleslaw (which I usually give to someone else but I can work with how they make theirs) As for the fish... 🙌🏾 it was cooked with love, crispy outside, tender/juicy inside, and can we give them a handclap for the batter not being mushy when I bit into it. They don’t stop at fish n’ chips, though. Their menu has po’ boys, gumbo, surf and turf, salmon burgers, and more! After this experience, I think I'll try to the po'boys next and maybe even a salmon sandwich. So, have you been to Emerald City Fish N' Chips yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Support Black-owned, eat amazing food, and thank me later. 😏 BTW, if you have the Buy Black Card by Intentionalist, you can also use it there like I did. Anywho! If you've been to Emerald City Fish N' Chips, drop a comment below and let me know what you normally get, and if you plan on pulling up, what are you going to order?
