Save this no-prep New Year activity for this week! 🥳 This will be the perfect way to ease back in, and you’ll feel prepared and less anxious because you’ve got something ready to go! 🙌🏼 I like to create a simple “New Year Feelings” anchor chart with my students as we sit together and discuss how we are feeling. Here’s some language you might use with your students to remind them there is space for ALL feelings: “In our classroom, it’s okay to feel excited about being back, and it’s okay to miss being home. When I say go, put your thumb over your heart and show me how you feel right now- up if you’re excited to be back, middle if you’re not sure yet, down is you’re having a challenging time today. Remember, there’s no wrong way to feel.” Once we’ve had share time as a class, you can have your students choose their shoes design- they LOVE this 👟(there are three options available), and begin working on their Walking into the New Year Craft! 🥰 There are a variety of writing options available for all the writers in your class as well as mentor text ideas to pair with this mini-lesson! 📚 🌟 Shop with the 🔗 below (or in my profile)👇! This resource is currently 20% off- along with everything else inside The Active Educator store you might need for your return week)! ❤️ #teachersoftpt #teachersoftiktok #teachersfollowteachers #lessonplans #teacherproblems #teachertired #teachertok #teachersbelike #teachertips #preptime #holidaybreak #teacherlife #teacherlove #teachers #teachersofig #kindergartenteacher #classroommanagement #classroomorganization #teachertribe #teachersbelike #firstgradeteacher #prekteacher #elementaryteacher #secondgradeteacher #thirdgradeteacher #secondgrade
