This is for my burnt-out teachers... A break should be a break. It should be a time where you don't have to think about work, you can be present with your family, and you can reset to feel relaxed upon your return. But I know for so many of you, that is not the case. You are lesson planning over break. You are grading after school before you can go home. You are creating new seating charts. You are responding to emails from parents who didn't check their child's grade until the week before break. And although it's true that we still get some time to enjoy with our loved ones, I know for me, those last few days of break are completely anxiety-filled. Dreading having to return to a career that exhausts me to my core. It wasn't until I found a career that allowed me to choose my own work hours that I realized how much I was suffering physically and mentally. It's one thing to not be excited to return to work, that's pretty typical. But it's a whole other thing being uncomfortably anxious and nervous to return to a job that is supposed to be the fulfilling career you've always dreamed of. I left the classroom in 2022 year, and my life has significantly changed for the better. Now, I'm on a mission to help other burnt-out teachers rediscover happiness and positive mental health through the career of Virtual Assistance.
