It’s been awhile since I’ve been in court, but today I had my first eviction hearing in over a year. Hopefully this video gives you some insight about what happens in court. Every time it snows I remember who gets a ticket if the sidewalk isn’t shoveled. (Hint hint, it isn’t the tenants 😬) For example, in New York City, you must clear snow from your sidewalk within four hours if the snow stops falling between 7am and 4:59pm, within 14 hours if it stops between 5pm and 8:59pm, and by 11am the next day if it stops between 9pm and 6:59am. 😩 So with all that, you see how blessed I am?? No ticket AND I got a workout in 🙌🏾 In reality, I’m currently in Virginia and someone else handles my out of state plowing. So don’t get discouraged! All you have to do is get someone else to do it! Here are options! - Find a plow for hire (so many landscapers and other contractors have trucks with plows - hire them to come to your properties when it snows) - Ask a tenant! (I have a handyman in my larger units and snow removal is a part of their gig!) - Find a child (if they show up and want money to shovel and I’m too tired 🤷🏾‍♀️) The sun is going down so I’ll finish tomorrow but y’all.
